What is Postpartum hair loss? Postpartum hair loss, also known as postpartum alopecia, is a common condition that affects many women after giving birth. The good news is that ursachen für haarausfall in postpartum can be managed.

Use natural and organic hair products that will help reduce excessive shedding, transition and help regrow your hair. Moisturizing your hair should be a must. If you have your hair in braids or cornrows, spray hair mist that focus on reducing frizz and providing moisture, apply hair and scalp oil to loc in the moisture. Hair mask should your new best friend at this phase and visit a professional hair dresser to trim out splits ends this will reduce shedding as well.


What to do: To avoid your hair from drastically falling off (shedding) is to have it in a protective hairstyle (braid or cornrows) before delivery, this way you limit too much touching of your hair, combing and styling during this postpartum hair loss phase. Use mild shampoo to washing your hair to avoid stripping off the natural oil in your hair leaving your hair more dry while cause more damage to your hair. Always wear silk bonnet before bed to protect your hair against breakage, knot and moisture loss during sleep.


What NOT to do: I will not recommend getting any tight hairstyle or styling during this phase as this may cause more damage to your hair. Avoid any thing that will cause pulling or stress on your hair and scalp eg. excess combing, excess styling your hair in tight ponytail or bun.
